Prince Arthur Eze was born on November 27, 1948, in Ukpo, Dunukofia Local Government Area, Anambra State, Nigeria. He comes from a royal family, and his elder brother, Igwe Robert Eze, is the traditional ruler (Igwe) of Ukpo.
