Ubi Franklin, born Ubi Ekapong Ofem on February 2, 1986, in Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria, is a prominent music artist manager, politician, entrepreneur, and TV show host. He is best known as the founder of the record label Made Men Music Group (Triple MG) and the online service Instant Apartment.

Early Life and Education

Franklin is the 11th of 15 children. He completed his primary and secondary education in Calabar before studying law at Madonna University in Nigeria.

Career

Franklin began his career as an assistant to comedian Julius Agwu and later worked with AY Makun and other artists, promoting shows and managing events. In 2010, he became the manager of singer Iyanya, notably contributing to the success of the hit song "Kukere." Under his leadership, Triple MG signed artists such as Tekno, Emma Nyra, and Selebobo.

Beyond music, Franklin has diversified into various business ventures. In 2017, he launched Instant Pickup, an online laundry service offering instant home pickup and delivery. He also introduced Instant Apartment, an online platform providing luxury apartments for rent, and Instant Ryde, an online taxi service operating in Calabar and Uyo.

In 2020, Franklin was appointed as the Special Adviser on Tourism to Cross River State Governor Benedict Ayade.

Personal Life

On November 1, 2015, Franklin married Nigerian actress Lilian Esoro, and they have a son named Jayden, born on July 17, 2016. He has four children in total: two daughters, Zaneta and Ariella, and two sons, Jayden and Shiloh.
